Gannets at Helgoland

At Helgoland, the gannets bring constant movement to the cliffs.

I was fascinated by their elegance in flight, the intensity of the colony and the contrast between their fragile beauty and the harsh coastal environment. Wings, wind, cliffs and sea air all become part of the same visual rhythm.

In these photographs, I wanted to capture more than the spectacle of birds in motion. I was looking for moments of grace, tension and energy — where the gannets appear almost suspended between power and lightness.
